Alexander grew up in Bakersfield, California. Located in the Southern half of this massive state, closer to LA. With its desert-like conditions and a simpler life, growing up in these parts meant he ate a lot of food inspired by the American South.

Tim did not grow up here, so what he knows as Californian cuisine is... wildly different. Mexican, Japanese, Korean, even Filipino, to name a few cultures, have contributed greatly to how we taste dishes indigenous to this side of the country.

Given our different perspectives we thought it would be fun, in a typical CARB fashion, to combine the two points of view in the tastiest and respectable interpretation we could achieve in 5 courses.
